Sister Act was a delightful show to be a part of! This production’s design had a lot of long lines to give the impression of height in both the cityscape and the cathedral. The proscenium arches required extremely long, smooth blended edges to give the appearance of rounded columns. It was great to challenge myself to keep the blending clean with no breaks from sections drying. My biggest regret with this show is that I did not document my painting treatments with a better camera. The cityscape, which I painted on thin flats, was flown in for the scenes outside of the club.
